Mohanlal’s highly anticipated Malayalam film, “L2: Empuraan,” has officially received a U/A certificate from the censor board, and fans can mark their calendars for its release on March 27. The censor board, however, requested a few modifications to ensure the film meets the guidelines. With a runtime of three hours, the film underwent eight cuts. Notably, a scene where women’s heads are banged against a wall was reduced to a brief flash. Additionally, a scene depicting sexual violence against a woman was trimmed by half. The board also insisted on the removal, replacement, or muting of a dialogue that referenced the colors of the national flag.
“L2: Empuraan” has been filmed across a variety of locations, including India, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates.
