Actress Pooja Hegde recently shared her excitement about her upcoming film, “Deva,” in an exclusive interview. The movie, co-starring Shahid Kapoor, is set to release on January 31, 2025, and has already created quite a buzz.
Hegde plays the character of Diya, an investigative journalist, in this highly anticipated action thriller directed by Rosshan Andrrews. “Diya is a strong, independent woman who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She challenges Deva and writes an impactful article about Mafia Ya Police. I love that about her,” says Hegde.
Working alongside Shahid Kapoor, Hegde had a positive experience. “Shahid is an amazing actor and a wonderful person off-screen as well. We had some great heart-to-heart conversations during the shoot, and he’s been a great support throughout the filming process,” she mentions.
Balancing her career between the South Indian and Hindi film industries, Hegde chooses projects based on the quality of the work rather than the language. “It’s definitely a juggling act, but I’m thrilled for the audience to see my performance in ‘Deva’ and look forward to my upcoming film ‘Retro’ with Suriya,” she adds.
