Brazilian National Steals Luxury Watches at Kempegowda Airport

In a dramatic incident at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, a Brazilian national allegedly stole two luxury watches from a duty-free store. The theft occurred at the Ethos Summit boutique in Terminal 2 earlier this month but was only discovered during a routine stock check.

The suspect, identified as Ravi Gama De Sa, initially purchased a Tag Heuer watch and then requested to see more models. While the store employee was retrieving additional watches, Ravi discreetly pocketed a Frederique Constant wristwatch. He later stole another Frederique Constant watch by slipping it into his wallet.

Before leaving, Ravi reportedly told the staff, “You will never forget me,” a statement that gained significance once the theft was discovered through CCTV footage. The Kempegowda International Airport police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. However, Ravi has already returned to Brazil, making it challenging for Indian authorities to take immediate action.

This incident highlights the need for increased vigilance and security measures at airport duty-free shops to prevent such thefts in the future.
