TVK Gears Up for 2026 Elections with Major Appointments: Meet the New Leaders

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), led by actor-turned-politician Vijay, has unveiled significant appointments and structural changes in preparation for the 2026 Assembly elections.

Aadhav Arjuna, formerly the deputy general secretary of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) and son-in-law of lottery magnate Santiago Martin, has been appointed as the General Secretary (Elections). This makes him the second-in-command in TVK, directly under Vijay.

Nirmal Kumar, previously the IT wing coordinator of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), has been named Deputy General Secretary. Rajmohan, a well-known YouTuber and orator, has taken on the role of Propaganda Secretary.

TVK has reorganized Tamil Nadu’s 234 Assembly constituencies into 120 party districts to streamline administration and improve decision-making processes. The party is also enhancing its grassroots presence by appointing in-charges for every polling booth across the state.

Additionally, TVK plans to install statues of iconic leaders such as BR Ambedkar, Periyar EV Ramasamy, K Kamaraj, Anjalai Ammal, and Velu Nachiyar at its headquarters. This initiative symbolizes the party’s dedication to the ideologies of these revered figures.

With these strategic appointments and structural changes, TVK is positioning itself as a formidable contender in the 2026 Assembly elections, challenging the dominance of the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).
